I am HUANG Kai, a 2nd-year doctoral candidate at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), advised by Prof. Dr. Chunyang Chen. And I am also a research engineer at SMU/NTU Singapore.
My research interest lies in large language models for automated program repair (LLM4APR), with a particular emphasis on multimodal bug scenarios such as front-end development and visualization-based interactions.
I have published 6 papers (5 first author, 1 co-first author) in top conferences and journals including ICSE, ASE, TSE, and CSUR, and received two ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Paper Awards (ASE 2023 and ASE 2025).
Recently, I have been working on multimodal software engineering and visual reasoning for SE.
